Mondal inaugurates Samanda C&RD Block office
Meghalaya C&RD minister, AT Mondal , inaugurated the Block Integrated Development Complex at Samanda C&RD Block in the presence of Soil and Water Conservation minister, Marcuise N Marak, East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Vibhor Aggarwal, DRDA Project Director, Reuben Ch Momin, BDO, Samanda, Tochri R Sangma, Govt. officials, dignitaries, Nokmas and villagers of Samanda Block on July 22.
Inaugurating the new office building for Samanda C&RD Block, Mondal informed that the funds for the construction of new office buildings for the C&RD Blocks in the state have been sanctioned by the chief minister and Samanda Block’s new office is the first to be inaugurated. With the inauguration of new office building, the people of the region will be immensely benefitted and they will also receive benefits from the flagship programs of the Govt. of India, the minister said.
The minister also highlighted the various schemes and projects being made available to the villagers in the C&RD Blocks of the state and urged the stake-holders of the area to grab the benefits being provided them. He also said that the newly constructed office of the BDO, Samanda C&RD Block, will be the link between the people and the Govt.
The guest of honor for the inauguration, the minister for Soil and Water Conservation, PHE, Housing, etc. Marcuise N Marak, while addressing the gathering, said that the day is a red letter day for the people of Samanda C&RD Block and the people will now have an easy access and receive more facilities in terms of implementation of schemes and projects. He also sought cooperation and support of the people for the successful implementation of both the central and state schemes.
On the day, Deputy Commissioner, Vibhor Aggarwal delivered the welcome address and Project Director, DRDA, Reuben Ch Momin, proposed the vote of thanks.
Earlier on the day, the Soil and Water Conservation minister, Marcuise N Marak, laid the foundation stone for laying of artificial turf at Rongrenggre Govt. Higher Secondary Playground and inaugurated the new building of Warimagre Govt. LP School, Williamnagar, which was constructed at a cost of Rs. 73,36,000/- under the District Mineral Fund.
