More COVID-19 Containment areas declared in Shillong

The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District in an order issued on 2nd and 3rd September 2020 has declared more flat, building and houses as COVID-19 containment areas for detecting high risk contact.

The areas which was tagged under containment zone:
The apartments of Mrs. Sunita Sohtun and Mr. P.N. Jaiswai in the building of Shri L. B. Rapthap opposite Benz Residency, Central Bishnupur.

Houses of Gopal Thapa, Laxmi Sunar, Roma Devkota, Pooja Thapa and Nimmi Chettri in Nepali compound, Rilbong.

House of Smti C. Nongpiur, Clary’s Cottage, Dong Shilliang, Lower Lumparing.

House of Shri R. Bhattacharjee, Rajendra Bhavna, W-27, H-11, Riat Laban East, Madan Laban.

Building of Smti L Wann (second floor), Streamlet Road, Laban

Flat of Shri Vinod Khemka in the buiulding of Smti B Khongwir, Dunhill Road, Harisabha Laban.

The compounds of Bipul Bhawan, Kalyani Dhar, Bijan Dhar, Nihar Dhar and Buli Roy (near Puja Mandap), Jail Road,

Flat No-104 of Ferndale Complex, Shillong,

Flats on the 2^nd and 3^rd Floor of the building Shri R.D. Pala, Howell Road, Laban

Apartment of P Roy Shylla in the building of Dr Sunita Shylla at Wahdienglieng.

Second floor of Bharti Bhavan building at Lower Mawprem.

The areas that have been untagged from containment are:
The building of Smti Berina Shabong (Lumpdeng) Lawsohtun Block II, building of Smti D. Lamin, Riat Laban East, Madan.

Building of Mrs Ponoli Lyngdoh at Rilbong Dunoon Compound near Meghna Marak Building. The house of Arjun Kumar Rai, Debu Sarkar and MohonBiswa at Oxford Hills, Maxwellton Estate, Rilbong is still retain as containment areas.

Building of Mrs Highly L Lamare at New Kench’s Trace, Bishnupur,

Mathura Compound at Jhalupara,

House of Mr. Nirmal Ghosh at Rilbong, Shillong. However, the house of Mrs. Shipra Paul at Rilbong, Shillong is still retained as a containment area.

Further the District Magistrate has allowed R.K. Bros, Keating Road, Shillong to resume operation based on the contact tracing status and test reports of the high risk contacts. Manoj Hardware Store (Near Sohra Bus Stand), Mawlonghat has directed to remain closed after the detection of COVID-19 cases until further notice.
