Most of the hospitals in Meghalaya have proper security arrangment: Health Minister
Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh on Tuesday said most of the hospitals and health facilities have proper security arrangement for the safety of doctors, staffs and patients.
Speaking to reporters while referring to the recent West Bengal case, Lyngdoh said, “Most of our hospitals, most of our inpatient institutes, all have good security.”
“So this (safety issue) is something again we have to focus on and discuss. Let me sit with the doctors’ association of Meghalaya, let me find out. But for so many interactions that I have had with them, so far this matter has not come up,” She said.
“Most of our hospitals have a CCTV management. Most of our hospitals or facilities have proper security. Now, there are funds provided to these institutions to also provide for themselves that ambit of safety,” she added.
