MoU signed between Meghalaya Agricultural Marketing Board and Mother Dairy
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between the Meghalaya State Agricultural Marketing Board and Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd, marking a significant step towards enhancing the agricultural and dairy sectors in the state. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma.
Taking to facebook, Conrad K Sangma stated, “The collaboration aims to establish a long-term and sustainable engagement by leveraging mutual strengths to develop a robust value chain for agricultural and dairy products in Meghalaya.”
The partnership will focus on Khasi mandarin, pineapples, ginger, Lakadong turmeric, and other locally produced agricultural commodities.
Efforts will be made to ensure that Meghalaya’s high-quality fruits and vegetables reach both domestic and international markets.
Additionally, Mother Dairy will assist in varietal improvement and shelf-life extension, boosting productivity and facilitating value-added processing.
