MPMC condemns TV show
SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Pradesh Mahila Congress (MPMC) has condemned an entertainment channel for misusing the word ‘Hallelujah”.
The controversial remarks were made on a quiz show hosted by Farah Khan, film director recently.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, MPMC president JS Shylla, “We condemn this mockery and demand an apology from this channel for airing such a communal episode.”
Shylla said the entertainment channel was making fun of the word ‘Hallelujah’.
She also said since the Citizenship Amendment Bill has turned into an Act, it has unsettled the peace India had. According to her, all along all religion co-existed in India. She lamented that now we find that one of the religions that is Christianity has been made a mockery especially by the channel.
