Mr Nongtdu duped Pajat of Rs.1.70 lakh after duping five other persons

Regina Pajat (28 yrs) of Block C, Madanriting, Shillong has filed a case against Heimon Malang @ Mr. Nongtdu for duping her Rs. 1.70 lakh for the past several weeks.

Police said Pajat on 5.2.2024 filed a Zero FIR in Madanrting PS Shillong and it was subsequently transfered to Jowai PS

Police informed that Pajat was duped to the tune of Rs. 1. 70 lakh by Mr. Nongtdu a resident of Beat House, Laitumkhrah, EKHD with a promise to pay back the amount borrowed from her. However till date Mr Nongtdu has been refraining from paying the borrowed amount to her and he is ignoring her telephonic calls and abstaining from meeting her for repayment of borrowed amount.

Police said an investigation was launched to detect and ascertain the identity of Mr Nongtdu and it was unravelled that the accused is Heimon Malang @ Mr. Nongtdu (42 yrs) from Latyrke Village, East Jaintia Hills District.

Police informed that Heimon Malang is residing with his wife Rolinda Syndong (39 yrs) of Nongjngi, Nartiang PS, WJHD.

During the course of further investigation it was found that the accused person is involved in five different cases viz., Jowai PS Case No. 162(09)2010 U/S 376/506 IPC, Jowai PS Case No. 18(01)2013 U/S 419/420 IPC, Jowai PS Case No. 41(04)2022 U/S 419/420 IPC, Jowai PS Case No. 92(07)2011 U/S 419/420 IPC and Dawki PS Case No. 04(04)2023 U/S 420 IPC.
