MSOA gears up for 3rd North East Games 2024 in Nagaland
The Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA) convened a meeting on February 23 in the Conference Hall to prepare for the upcoming 3rd North East Games 2024 in Nagaland.
John F Kharshiing, Working President of MSOA, chaired the meeting alongside Finely L Pariat, General Secretary MSOA. They briefed representatives of State Sports Associations on the disciplines and events scheduled for the 3rd North East Olympic Games, slated for March 18-23, 2024 in Nagaland.
The Nagaland Olympic Association notified that 16 sports would be conducted. MSOA expressed intent to participate in most disciplines, pending support and funding from the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs.
Representatives from various State Sports Associations attended, identified by MSOA as participants in the 3rd North East Games 2024. They were urged to commence preparations, anticipating support from the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs.
MSOA officials announced plans to meet with the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs after the current budget session to seek approval for team preparation and adequate budget allocation to support the Meghalaya Contingent for the 3rd NEOG in Nagaland.
