Much awaited teaser of upcoming web series ‘Scam 2019’ released

The highly anticipated Assamese web series Scam 2019 has recently unveiled its official teaser at an event in Guwahati, with popular actor Jatin Bora leading the release. Present at the event were cast and crew members, including Maytrayee Goswami, Yankee Parasar, producer Aabhijeet Sharma, and others like RK, Dhrubajyoti Talukdar, and Manik Roy.

Aabhijeet Sharma shared his enthusiasm for the series, stating, “We are glad to release the teaser of our upcoming web series Scam 2019.” He also announced plans to release the official trailer on November 24th, coinciding with the 24th anniversary of Assam Public Works (APW). The full series is set to premiere on the OTT platform Red Cinemas 18+ on December 24, 2024.

Red Cinemas 18+ is the first 18+ Assamese OTT platform of the region. The OTT platform will release the web series with multilingual subtitles which will target audiences not only regionally but nationally and internationally (Bangladesh and Middle East) as well. The web series will be available at just Rs 69/-.

This fictional web series is based on a mischievous and corrupt officer who was appointed to save the identity and culture of a community but instead got involved in the colossal scam of the decade which not only resulted in financial losses but also accounted for the physical, emotional and identical crisis of the state.

The cast includes Jatin Bora, Bibhuti Bhushan Hazarika, Maytrayee Goswami, Manik Roy, Yankee Parasar, Bhabesh Das, Arsana Pujari and RK among others. The series is directed by RK, story is written and produced by Aabhijeet Sharma, the screenplay and dialogues are written by Bhaskar Deka, the cinematography by Bitul Das, and edited by Jhulan Krishna Mahanta and music by Rideep Das.
