Mukul contesting two seats ‘unfair’, says Prestone
NPP national vice president and deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong on Saturday said it is not fair for the leader of opposition Mukul Sangma to contest two seats, Songsak and Tikrikilla in the upcoming elections.
“My personal opinion is he has done that last term. If he again continues to do the same thing, I am very sure (people of) both the constituencies will not have faith in him,” Tynsong told reporters.
“Because see if you can serve both the constituencies if the constitution allows to do that even me I can contest two-three also but now if you contest both the constituencies and one constituency you have to leave you have to resign I think that is very unfair. So my principle and my opinion is that I am not at all agreeable or acceptable to contesting two or three or more constituencies at a time,” he added.
