Mukul slams Govt for behaving like the COVID-19 pandemic is over
The opposition Congress has alleged that the state government is behaving as if the ongoing second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
Speaking to reporters after chairing a CLP meeting on Wednesday, Leader of Opposition Mukul Sangma said that the government is raising its hand while dealing with the challenges of the pandemic.
“Now the way the government is behaving is that as though the pandemic is over, as though they have nothing else to do and as though what they have done is enough, and they have left everything to the people,” he said.
Stating that the issue will be taken up in the upcoming Assembly’s autumn session, Mukul said, “We must ask the government to wake up and respond to its call of duty as far as dealing with these challenges associated with the pandemic is concerned.”
He further reminded the government that this pandemic is still in our vicinity and the impact on life is felt by every citizen and family across the state, across the nation and across the world.
“We will take up the issue and ensure the government wakes up from its whole chalta hai attitude and responds to its call of duty,” Mukul stated.
