Municipal Board reminds to pay taxes

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Williamnagar Municipal Board (WMB) has issued a notification reminding the Govt. departments and the owners of private buildings in Williamnagar to pay the property and holding taxes.

The notification issued in this regard said that the payment of such taxes are mandated for the maintenance and upkeep of the local civic amenities like cleanliness, solid waste management and sewage system, etc. required to be levied under Section 68 of the Meghalaya Municipal Act, 1973.
