Musical fans had an enthralling evening at the Chutwakhu Musical Concert

Music committee of Chutwakhu Social Welfare Local Durbar organized a Musical concert with a theme “An Evening of Different Genre” on August 10, at the Indoor Sports Hall, Chutwakhu, Jowai.

Eleven local bands of different genre all from Jowai took the stage and brought the fans in frenzy mood. Each band performed three songs as laid down by the organizers. Over hundreds of musical fans witnessing the show and the most surprising one was the present of the Legend Bah #LouMajaw among the crowds.

The recently formed local blues based band The Quiet Storm with #Starly the renown blues guitarist in town got the crowd swaying to their beautiful tunes of blues. The band just recently performed in the International Festival of Blues in Shillong which got complimented by renown guitarist #EhsaanNoorani as one of the best upcoming blues band in the country.

Upnext on stage Crux04 too got the crowd grooving with their heavy metal rendition songs. Then the band UltimateRays took the stage performing some beautiful rock songs. Then came Nexus the three piece band on stage gave their tight performance with rock songs from the 80s that enthralling the crowd asking for more.

Echo Dirt performed some beautiful alternative rock songs. Route44 played some of their beautiful sets of songs .

Then came the popular blues rock band The Twilight who have played at different venues in and around Shillong, took the stage played some beautiful set pieces of blues that got the crowd grooving to their tunes.

Larger Than 90 took the stage with some of their originals especially ‘Poisa’ which have been quite popular from their debut album. Upnext the most promising rock n roll and blues band Menders took the stage and played some good stuff of rock n roll sets that got applause from the crowd.

Faith Back the popular rock band in town took the stage and played some good rock songs and also some of their originals. The band next gig will be in Imphal,Manipur.

Last but not the least The Lynx who have been making quite a name for themselves in Northeast like taking part in Hornbill International rock contest 2015 took the stage and got the crowd dancing and singing to their beautiful reggae tunes of Bob Marley songs and even got the President of Chutwakhu playing drums in one their songs.
