MVSA condemns inhumane act of BSF personnel along Indo Bangla Border
The Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association (MVSA) has demanded a written apology from the Border Security Force (BSF) for man handling and threatening to shoot death of their member Dr. Seiboklang Buam by BSF personnel on Sunday.
The decision for the demand was taken by the MVSA Apex Body, in its Emergent Central Executive Committee meeting held on Monday.
The Association strongly condemned the high handedness of BSF personnel Rejender Kumar and his colleague to one member of the Association namely Dr. Seiboklang Buam, AH & Veterinary Officer, Muktapur Veterinary Dispensary, Amlarem Sub-Division at Lakroh Shiv Mandir, Hawai Tilla, West Jaintia Hills District around 12:05 PM on Sunday.
The Association has taken strong cognizance of the incident, the news of which has been widely circulated in the electronic and print media.
The MVSA also resolved to apprise the highest authority of the BSF, Meghalaya Frontier Headquarter on this unfortunate and uncalled incident, which has traumatized the concerned member of the Association.
The Association also demands that a written apology from the concerned BSF authorities be issued with an assurance that such kind of inhumane and humiliating acts do not recur in the future.
