    The Meghalaya Government on Friday notified the creation of Namdong Community & Rural Development Block in West Jaintia Hills District with immediate effect.

    With the creation of Namdong Community and Rural Development block, West Jaintia Hills District will now have four C&RD blocks and they are namely Amlarem C&RD Block, Thadlaskein C&RD Block and Laskein C&RD Block.

    Namdong C&RD Block in West Jaintia Hills District shall comprise of the villages of Namdong-A, Namdong-B, Mynkhnang, Umjalisiaw, Lumrot, Madanrtiang, Thadmukoh, Khonsaro, Kremmyrsiang, Thadmynri, Mynkrem, Khliehriat, Iongsnieh Takhniang, Saphohwaiong, Sanaro, Pdeiniadaw, Pdeniaw-musiang, Ringkyrtein, Moobakhon, Nongthymme, Mookjat, Moorap, Ksehrynshang, Kremlabit, Nongmulieh, Khanduli, Rudumplu, Umshangiar, Saitsama, Tamu, Shiabnai, Lakaroi Pnar, Mukoiram, Lad-Myngngor, Pdeintaloo, Lumlakhiat, Lapangap, Myngngor, Myn-I and Rtiangsanphew.

    With this creation, the above listed villages will cease to exist in their respective earlier C&RD Blocks.
