National Lok Adalat settled 1239 cases in Meghalaya

The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority organised the National Lok Adalat on Saturday in all the districts of the State of Meghalaya, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

During the National Lok Adalat, 785 Pre-Litigation cases and 454 pending cases were taken up for settlement. Total number of cases taken up was 1239, and of which 216 cases were settled for a total amount of ` 1,33,86,382.17/- (Rupees One lakh thirty three lakhs eighty six thousand three hundred eighty two and seventeen paise) only in the National Lok Adalat.
