National Lok Adalat settled 235 cases in Meghalaya

The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority organized the National Lok Adalat on Saturday in all districts of the State of Meghalaya under the auspices of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

E. Kharumnuid, Member Secretary of the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, informed that during the National Lok Adalat, 837 Pre-Litigation cases and 450 pending cases were taken up for settlement.

The total number of cases taken up was 1287 and of which 235 cases were settled for a total amount of Rs. 84, 47,480/- (Rupees Eighty four lakhs forty seven thousand four hundred and eighty) only in the National Lok Adalat.
