    The NCC Unit of Thomas Jones Synod College, Jowai organised an awareness rally against tobacco use in Jowai town on Thursday.

    A large number of students from the college’s higher secondary participated in the rally carrying posters and placards and shouting slogans on the harmful effects of tobacco.

    The rally was part of World No Tobacco Day celebrated every year on May 31. This year’s theme chosen in Meghalaya is “My Meghalaya, Tobacco Free Meghalaya”.
