Nearly 4,000 COVID-19 patients recovered in Meghalaya
Nearly 4,000 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the state as on Sunday even as 90 new positive cases were detected.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said 125 more patients have been declared recovered from the viral infection taking the total recoveries in the state to 3,779.
These include 93 of which 37 are armed forces/paramilitary forces (AF/PF) personnel and 56 civilians, were from East Khasi Hills district, 17 AF/PF personnel from Ri Bhoi district, 8 from East Jaintia Hills district, 3 from South Garo Hills district, 2 from South West Garo HIlls dstrict and 1 each from West Garo Hills district and East Garo Hills district.
Dr War also informed that 90 more persons have tested positive for COVID-19.
A total of 69 new cases were detected in East Khasi Hills, 16 in West Garo Hills, 2 in South West Garo Hills and 1 each in North Garo Hills, South Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills.
Till date, the state has detected a total of 5,302 COVID-19, of which 1,480 are active, 3,779 recovered and 43 deaths.
Of the total active cases, 1,385 are civilians, 51 are Border Security Force (BSF) troopers and 44 are Armed Forces personnel.
East Khasi Hills, where the state capital is located, has the highest number of active cases at 971, following by East Jaintia Hills with 216 cases, 115 cases in West Garo Hills and 108 cases in Ri Bhoi, 23 in North Garo Hills, 14 in South West Garo Hills 12 in East Garo Hills, 8 each in West Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills, 3 in South West Khasi Hills and 2 in South Garo Hills.
