NEDFi secures 15th National Digital Transformation Award for NE-RACE platform

The North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) has been honoured with the Agri-Tech Excellence Award at the 15th Digital Transformation Conclave & Awards. NEDFi received this recognition for its outstanding efforts in implementing digital transformation within the agricultural ecosystem through the North Eastern Region Agri-Commodity e-Connect (NE-RACE)” platform, an initiative of the Ministry of DoNER.

The award ceremony, held on December 13 at the Hotel Vivanta in Guwahati, celebrated innovative digital solutions driving transformation across critical sectors in India. The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Assam Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management Keshab Mahanta, Special Chief Secretary Syedain Abbasi and Special Secretary (IT) and Director (DITEC) KSPV Pavan Kumar.

Launched on July 12 by Union DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, the NE-RACE platform is a significant digital initiative developed by NEDFi and funded by the North Eastern Council (NEC). It is designed to provide market linkages for agricultural and horticultural products from the Northeast, including both fresh produce and processed goods.

The platform serves as a game-changer for producers such as Farmer’s Producer Organizations (FPOs), farmers’ collectives, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), progressive farmers, and entrepreneurs in the agriculture and food processing sectors. By allowing producers to showcase their products directly to buyers, the platform reduces the role of middlemen, promotes transparency, and fosters long-term, trust-based business relationships.
