NEHU conferred PHD to Kermi-u Tariang

The North Eastern Hills University (NEHU) has conferred the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy to Kermi-u Tariang recently.

He has completed his thesis titled ‘Effects of arsenic and lead on selected enzymes of carbohydrate metabolism and MAPK pathway in air breathing catfish, Heteropneustes fossilis (Bloch, 1974’.

He worked under the supervision of Dr Bidyadhar Das, Department of Zoology, Nehu Shillong.

Dr Kermi-u, is the son of (L) Werlang Khongshah and Iaineh Tariang resident of Thangbuli village, Amlarem Sub Division, West Jaintia Hills District.
