NEHU decides to postpone examinations on Tuesday

SHILLONG: The North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) has decided to postpone all odd semester postgraduate, B.Tech, B.Arch, BA LLB examinations scheduled to be on December 10, in view of the anti-CAB protest called by the North East Students’ Organization (NESO).

In a notification issued here on Monday, NEHU controller of examinations said, “In view of unavoidable circumstances, all odd semester postgraduate, B.Tech, B.Arch, BA LLB examinations scheduled to be held on 10^th December 2019 stands postponed.”

The respective heads of department, colleges, institutes may re-schedule their examinations slated for December 10, by fixing a fresh date at the earliest convenience under intimation to this office, the notification said.

It also added that in deciding the re-scheduled date, the department(s) may keep the concerned college(s) centres in the loop to ensure coherence and confidentiality.

Meanwhile, the NESO protest will start from 5 am to 4 pm on Tuesday.
