NEIAH Shillong holds march to celebrate World Homoeopathy Day

The North Eastern Institute of Homoeopathy and Ayurveda Shillong organized a “March for Homoeopathy” to commemorate the World Homoeopathy Day which is celebrated every year on April 10 in remembrance of Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homoeopathy.
The march which was attended by nearly 200 students, doctors and staff of NEIAH was flagged off by the Deputy Director of NEIAH, A Wanshai Shynret in the presence of Dr. Tapan Nath, the Officer Assisting the Principal, College of Homoeopathy, NEIAH Shillong and senior faculty of the institute, started from the IGP Point Shillong and passed through some landmarks such as Khyndai Lad, Polo and culminated at the Golf Link Club.
This year mark the 270th birth anniversary Dr Hahnemann under the theme, “Education, Teaching and Research”. The day also honours the hard work of homeopathic professionals and helps people to understand the uses of homeopathic medicines.
The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy (NEIAH), Shillong, an Autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, has planned a series of activities to mark the World Homoeopathy Day 2025 which includes a seminar to be addressed by well known figures in the discipline of Homoeopathy, Quiz Competitions, Poster Making and other academic activities at its campus at Mawdiangdiang.
NEIAH being one of the prestigious Hospital and Institution has given its service to the society immensely since its inception in 2009. It provides healthcare service of OPD and IPD and it has different communities’ research programs including health camp and has recently also opened a peripheral OPD at Smit. NEIAH provides education service to numerous students from all over India who has come to pursue their professional degree in both UG and PG programmes.
