NE’s first robotic knee replacement system launched in Guwahati
CORAS Hospital by Pratiksha, A state of the art hospital for orthopaedics, sports medicine and multi-speciality in the city, inaugurated the Northeast’s first Robotic Knee Replacement System- ROSA- at its hospital in Guwahati on Thursday.
A robotic knee replacement is similar to a traditional knee replacement. The surgeon removes damaged tissue in one’ knee and replaces it with an artificial joint. The difference is that it’s done with assistance from a robotic arm, which allows for greater precision.
