Newly constructed cemented foot bridge collapsed in West Jaintia Hills

In a pathetic state of affairs, a newly constructed footbridge in West Jaintia Hills District collapsed within ten second under its weight on Sunday’s afternoon.

The foot bridge is constructed across River Moolashah in Shangpung under Laskein C&RD Block.

The bridge is located below the Fish Sanctuary under the jurisdiction of Dorbar Shnong Khliehmuchut.

The construction of the foot bridge is funded by Meghalaya Soil & Water Conversation department.
