NFSA e-KYC deadline & food distribution in East Khasi Hills

The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, has informed that all NFSA beneficiaries must complete their e-KYC process at Fair Price Shops by June 30, 2025, as per the direction of the Hon’ble Supreme Court. To ensure a smooth process, all Fair Price Shop (FPS) dealers are required to keep their shops open every day.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner (Supply) has announced the release of rice under NFSA (AAY and PHH), Non-NFSA, and Wholemeal Atta for March 2025 through respective Fair Price Shops. The AAY quota of rice will be distributed at 35 kg per card, while the PHH quota will be given at 5 kg per head, both free of cost. Non-NFSA rice will be provided at 7.105 kg per household at rates ranging from Rs 12.70 to Rs 13.00 per kg. Wholemeal Atta will be distributed at 5 kg per card in urban areas and 3 kg per card in rural areas at Rs 10.50 per kg.
Fair Price Shops have been directed to distribute the quota immediately upon stock arrival and to display the list of beneficiaries and shop operation timings. Any issues regarding non-supply, under-supply, overcharging, or inferior quality may be reported to the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong.
