Niangti elected as new SWCJ president

The Synjuk Waheh Chnong Jowai (SWCJ), a conglomeration of traditional heads, on Saturday elected its new office bearers for the term 2021-2022.

These include Alan Niangti (headman of Loompyrdi Iongpiah) as president, Lasoki D Lakiang (headman, Ladthadlaboh) – vice president, Riquoma Rq Laloo (headman, Panaliar) – general secretary, Ryum T Khonglah (secretary, Mynthong) – asst general secretary, Dame H Pde (headman, Chiliangraij) – treasurer, Lamphrang Pohktai (headman, Mynthong), Titos Bamon (headman, Khim-u-sniang) and Jlan Kupar Rymbai (headman, Loompariat) as auditors.
