Nigerian national and Naga woman remanded for 5 days police custody in fraud case

The Nigerian National Felix and Naga Woman khegoli who were arrested from Delhi for their involvement in a cyber crime case has been remanded to 5 (Five) days police custody for further investigation on Friday.

The duo were apprehended by the East Garo Hills police from Tilak Tilaknagar Delhi with the help of Delhi police on Sunday.

Police said that during preliminary investigation we found that several people from Meghalaya from various districts like Jowai, East Khasi Hills (Shillong) West Garo Hills ( (Tura) South Garo Hills (Baghmara) East garo Hills (Williamnagar) Ri Bhoi (Nongpoh) West Khasi hills (Nongstoin) have been cheated in the same manner.

The Nigerian had many other gang members operating with him, police said.

Police said Investigation is going on and one of his Facebook fake account have been identified by Police as Alex Williams/Alex James. One of his WhatsApp number which he used for fraud is +447398279773.

All the Facebook/Whatsapp users are hereby dully warned to be cautious against such fraudsters and not to fall prey.

Police also said If anyone have been cheated by above account may contact the nearest police station.
