Nigerian national arrested from Delhi in Wiliamnagar fraud case

A Nigerian national and a Naga woman were arrested from Delhi for their involvement in a cyber crime case registered in Meghalaya’s East Garo Hills district. 

The duo were apprehended by the East Garo Hills police from Tilak Tilaknagar Delhi with the help of Delhi police on Sunday. 

The Nigerian national was identified as Felix. An amount of Rs 2 lakh was involved in the fraud case registered with the Williamnagar police station, police said. 

11 mobile devices and 18 ATM cards were also seized from their possession, they said. 

Police also said it is suspected that they may be involved in many other cases in other states, districts as well.

The accused persons will be brought to Williamnagar for further investigation.
