Night curfew extended in East Khasi Hills
The East Khasi Hills district magistrate Matsiewdor Nongbri has extended the night curfew in the entire district from 9 pm to 5 am of June 22 to June 30.
The order however will not apply to security forces, medical teams on duty, wholesale and retail pharmacies, police and armed forces, and other essential services.
“These services shall strictly comply with all protocols and procedures including social distancing limiting of field staff to the barest minimum and other advisories of government in the health and family welfare department without fail,” she said.
The district magistrate has also prohibit inter-state movement, operation of unregulated major markets, educational institutions, training centres, opening of religious places, large public gathering and congregation and others.
