Night curfew imposed in East Jaintia Hills

In order to contain prevent and control the outbreak of Coronovirus (COVID-19) in East Jaintia Hills District, Meghalaya and also keeping in view of the emerging scenario and safety of the general public and to avoid any outbreak of an epidemic.

In the exercise of the powers conferred upon under section 144 CrPC, F.M. Dopth, IAS District Magistrate East Jaintia Hills District do hereby promulgate NIGHT CURFEW with effect from 22.03.2020 from 7PM to 7AM for the incoming vehicles from Assam enroute to this District via Malidor area.

In view of the urgency of the matter this Order is being passed Ex-parte and
shall come into force with immediate effect and until further Orders.
