Night Curfew imposed in NGH

In view of surging of Covid 19 cases in the State of Meghalaya and in neighbouring state of Assam, there is urgent need to put in place preventive measures to contain the daily increase in number of Covid 19 cases in North Garo Hills district. 

Therefore, the District Magistrate, Shri R P Marak under section 144 Cr.Pc and section 3 of the Epidemic Disease Act and Covid 19 Regulation has imposed night curfew in the entire North Garo Hills from 5:30 pm of 31st May to 6 am everyday untill further order.

The order has given exemptions for vehicles carrying essential commodities like FCI vehicles, gas cylinder carrying vehicles and oil tankers, etc., ambulances and medical emergency services,  fire and emergency services, security forces, police, medical staff and executive magistrates on duty.
