The opposition All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) on Wednesday constituted the block Trinamool Congress committee at Williamnagar in East Garo Hills District.
Office bearers were elected and new members were inducted into the party fold during the meeting.
Speaking during the meeting, the proposed president of the Williamnagar block, Hellison B. Along with Sangma, TMC leader Rinaldo K Sangma (MDC Rongrong) acknowledged the support of people for the party and said, “ Not people in Garo Hills but people all over Meghalaya want a change, one can see clearly the drawbacks and discrepancies from the ruling governments, people from all walks of life are suffering and looking for a change.”
