No hanky-panky in GNM recruitment: DHS
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War on Saturday said that there is no hanky-panky in the recruitment process for over 130 General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) posts in the state.
Speaking to reporters, Dr War informed that the results for the examination conducted last year for filling up 133 GNM posts was supposed to be declared in March, this year.
“However, the reason for the delay was due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is absolutely no hanky-panky or unfair means in the recruitment process (as was alleged) as we will declare the results when the time is right,” he said.
Stating that over 200 nurses were appointed on contractual basis for COVID-19, he said these officiating nurses have been trained very well in handling any situation related to the disease. According to him, more than 100 lab technicians were also engaged on contractual basis.
Dr War further informed that the government however could not even get 50 doctors to appoint for COVID-19.
