Nongrang to head as first lady Director General of Home Guard

The First Khasi Lady IPS officer will now head the the Civil Defence & Home Guard as its first lady Director General.

According to a notification issued on Thursday Idashisha Nongrang IPS (RR 1992) Special Director General of Police, Meghalaya Shillong is transferred and posted as the Director General Civil Defense & Home Guard, Meghalaya Shillong against the existing vacancy with effect from the date of taking over charge or until further orders.

Notably, Meghalaya Government on December 23, last year promoted the first Khasi lady IPS officer and Additional Director General of Police (SB) Idashisha Nongrang to the rank of Special Director General of Police, of Meghalaya Police.

In a notification issued, Idashisha Nongrang, IPS(RR:1992), Additional Director General of Police(SB), Meghalaya, Shillong is promoted to officiate in the Above Super Time Scale in the rank of Director General in the Level 16(HAG+) of the Pay Matrix with effect from 01.01.2022.
