North Garo Hills district admin asks to refrain from circulating fake news

The Deputy Commissioner, North Garo Hills district has requested one and all to refrain from circulating fake/ false news through social media like WhatsApp and Facebook relating to COVID-19 vaccination.

The Notice informed that in the midst of critical covid-19second wave situation everywhere including North Garo Hills district and when the vaccination is under progress, certain people are spreading false/fake reports via social media.

In this regard, it may be brought to the notice of all that person spreading fakes news relating to public health issues can be booked under section 54 of the epidemic diseases act, 1897.
