Notorious thief arrested in Shillong
A notorious thief was arrested by the police from Shillong on Friday.
East Khasi Hills SP Sylvester Nongtnger said the notorious thief, Shanbor Wahlang, also known as Moolchand was apprehended by officers and personnel from Laitumkhrah police station. He has been a prime suspect in a series of theft and burglary cases reported within Shillong since 2022.
He is also wanted in connection with 4 separate cases registered at Sadar police station.
His criminal activities have been a significant concern for the community, and his arrest marks a crucial step towards resolving the ongoing theft and burglary cases in the area.
“Further investigations are underway to determine the full extent of his involvement in these cases and other related crimes,” Nongtnger said.
