NPP playing divisive politics to divide Meghalaya: Mukul
Leader of Opposition Mukul Sangma on Thursday accused the National People’s Party (NPP) of playing divisive politics to divide the state.
He was addressing the TMC block level meeting at Rangsakona in West Garo Hills District where over 10,000 mass supporters attended.
Condemning the MDA government’s sheer misgovernance, Sangma said, “The NPP is playing divisive politics to divide the state. It is their electoral mechanism to retain power. They intend to divide people.”
Also present during the meeting were Rangsakona MLA, Zenith M. Sangma, MLA Mahendraganj, Dikkanchi D. Shira, MLA Salmanpara, Winnerson D. Sangma, and Meghalaya TMC leader Sadhiarani M Sangma and other TMC leaders.
The party said, “While the MDA government continues to strategise how to retain power rather than addressing the pressing concerns in the state, Meghalaya TMC continues to be the voice of the people of Meghalaya. With the growing support of a united cadre, Meghalaya TMC pledges to work tirelessly for the people of Meghalaya.”
