NPP urged Govt to defer municipal elections in view of Coronavirus
The Arunachal Pradesh NPP State Committee today urged the Arunachal Pradesh Government to defer the municipal and panchayati elections in view of coronavirus.
This was decided in an emergent meeting of National People’s Party of Arunachal Pradesh held at State NPP office Itanagar today under the Chairmanship of Gicho Kabak State President. It was attended by state office bearer and Frontal organisation of State NPP.
While appreciating the action of State Govt. to control the spreading of Coronavirus in the state, the State NPP appraises state Govt. to defer the Municipal and Panchayat election till Coronavirus is completely control.
During panchayat and municipal election there will be public meeting/ rallies so infection of so called deathly disease Corona Virus is possible. Presently all public places like cinema hall, Shopping mall, International and domestic tourist, public meeting/rallies are already banned by the Govt. of India.
State NPP General Body meeting which was fixed on 25th March 2020 has been deferred due the spreading of Coronavirus till further order.
Meanwhile Miss Yari Tok Incharge of Arunachal State Committee of Republican Party of India who contested last Assembly Election 2019 from 49-Dayun Bordumsa Assembly Constituency from Republican Party of India (RPI) joined NPP today. Her joining has been accepted by State President Gicho Kabak. She expressed her willingness to work under the dynamic leadership of Conrad K Sangma, National President and Chief Minister of Meghalaya and Gicho Kabak State President NPP, Arunachal Pradesh.
State NPP heartily welcome Yari Tok to NPP and hope that her joining to the party will definitely strengthen the party organisation in the state.
