NPP withdraws support to BJP-led government in Manipur for failing to resolve current crisis
The National People’s Party (NPP) on Sunday decided to withdraw its support from the Biren Singh-led government for failing to resolve the criss and restore normalcy in the state of Manipur.
In his letter to BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda, NPP national president and chief minister Conrad K Sangma said, “We strongly feel that the Manipur State government under the leadership of Biren Singh has completely failed to resolve the crisis and restore normalcy.
Keeping the current situation in mind, the NPP has decided to withdraw its support to the Biren Singh led Government in the State of Manipur, with immediate effect.”
He said that the NPP is deeply concern over the prevailing law and order situation in the state of Manipur.
In the last few days, we have seen the situation further deteriorate where many more innocent lives have been lost and people in the State are going through immense suffering, Sangma stated in the letter.
