NPP’s win in Gambegre bye poll an endorsement of MDA govt’s performance: Paul

UDP leader and cabinet minister Paul Lyngdoh on Saturday said the Gambegre bye polls are an endorsement of the MDA government’s performance.

Congratulating the NPP candidate Dr Mehtab Chandee A Sangma for winning the seat, Lyngdoh said, “And do not forget that as recently as May this year, we had the Lok Sabha polls where the Congress had swept Garo Hills, the Tura parliamentary seat. So in a way it shows that politics is very dynamics. Even a week is a long time in politics.”

“It also demonstrates that the electorates of Gambegre have clearly shown their wisdom by electing somebody who is highly qualified as the NPP candidate,” he stated.
