NYKS Core Programmes to ensure utmost benefit to the youth of Meghalaya
The Minister Youth Affairs and Sports, Meghalaya, Banteidor Lyngdoh who is also the Chairperson of the State Advisory Committee on youth programmes, chaired the State Advisory Committee Meeting of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) (SACYP) in Shillong on November 24 to explore possible areas for convergence in the field and provide suggestion for effective implementation of NYKS programmes.
Lyngdoh said that such meetings should be held regularly to ensure that all activities under NYKS Core Programme reach the unreached and benefit the youth of the State. Urging all line departments to collaborate with the NYKS in organising programmes meant for the youth so that these programmes will enhance the skills and employability of the youth.
Representatives from line departments, National Social Service, Bharat Scouts & Guides, Indian Red Cross, Eco Clubs and others, readily express their enthusiasm to collaborate in all activities of the NYKS to help in nation building as well as providing job opportunities and for the development of their personality and skills.
The meeting was also attended among others by the Director, Sports & Youth Affairs WAM Booth, State Director, NYKS, Meghalaya, Inkhuanguang, representatives from Agriculture, Health & Family Welfare Department and Information and Public Relations.
