OIL observes Sanrakshan Kshamta Mahotsav 2025, promotes green energy & sustainability

Oil India Limited (OIL) successfully observed Sanrakshan Kshamta Mahotsav 2025 (SAKSHAM) at its Field Headquarters in Duliajan from February 14 to 28, reinforcing its commitment to fuel conservation, environmental sustainability, and energy security. The event, themed ‘Cleaner Environment through Green and Clean Energy’, aimed to raise awareness on fuel conservation and reduce India’s dependency on crude oil imports.

The two-week-long initiative featured a series of outreach programs, workshops, and interactive sessions engaging employees, students, and the general public. Activities included pledge-taking ceremonies to promote sustainable energy practices, walkathons, cyclothons, and debates to encourage community participation, quizzes and seminars focused on fuel conservation and climate change, social media campaigns and community radio broadcasts amplifying the message of sustainability and school-level awareness programs to educate young minds on responsible energy consumption.

Reaffirming its dedication to energy conservation, OIL advocated for cleaner fuels and enhanced energy efficiency measures in both industrial and domestic sectors. The company believes that collective efforts toward sustainable energy practices will strengthen national energy security and contribute to a cleaner environment.
