OIL partners with Arunachal’s Namsai district admin for Aspirational District project implementation
Oil India Limited (OIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Deputy Commissioner’s Office of Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, to advance the Aspirational District Project in Namsai district.
The MoU was formalized at OIL’s Field Headquarters in Duliajan on Friday. Under this partnership, OIL will contribute Rs. 1 crore towards establishing a modular operating theatre (OT) at the District Hospital in Namsai.
The MoU was signed by CR Khampa, Deputy Commissioner of Namsai, and Madhujya Baruah, Executive Director (HR & FA) of OIL, with officials from both organizations in attendance.
The modular OT will feature state-of-the-art medical technology to enhance healthcare infrastructure and improve access to advanced medical services in the district. This development aligns with the Aspirational District Project, a Central government initiative to accelerate progress in underdeveloped districts.
OIL’s support for Namsai under its CSR efforts has spanned six years, with over Rs. 11 crore invested in healthcare, education, hygiene, and sanitation initiatives. This partnership reaffirms OIL’s commitment to sustainable social development, directly benefiting local communities and supporting the Central government’s mission to reduce regional disparities in aspirational districts.
