One arrested, Phensedyl worth Rs 50 lakh seized

One person was arrested along with 20000 bottles of Phensedyl worth over Rs 50 lakh at Umkiang in East Jaintia Hills district.

Taking to twitter, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma lauded the efforts of the district police to nab the trafficker.

“Traffickers fancied to put youth of state in the furnace of addiction but vigilant @ejhpolice foiled their evil design and seized 20000 Phensedyl bottles worth 50 lakh, 01truck, 01phone & nabbed one person in a night long ops at Umkiang. Kudos to @MeghalayaPolice &Irbishnoiips,” Sangma said.
