One nation, one election will help Govt to save a lot of fund: Tynsong
Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Home (Police) Prestone Tynsong on Monday welcomed the Centre’s move to implement ‘one nation, one election’.
Tynsong told reporters that the matter has not come officially for debate be it in the Parliament or be it in the State Assembly and therefore, he cannot comment on that.
“(However), of course my personal opinion is if we have one nation, one election I think we will be able to save a lot of time, we will be able to save a lot of funds and we will be able to save a lot of manpower where we need to ultimately once you have election you understand even model code of conduct has to be implemented every now, every six months or 7 months which ultimately it affects the overall developmental programmes of the State and Central government,” he asserted.
