Opp Cong reconstitutes disciplinary action committee
The opposition Congress on Saturday reconstituted its disciplinary action committee.
This has also come in the wake of speculation doing the rounds that the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader and several MLAs of the party are likely to quit and join other political parties.
A notification issued by the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) general secretary Wansuk Syiem said that the committee will function with immediate effect.
The disciplinary action committee will be headed by Congress veteran leader and former deputy chief minister Roytre Christopher Laloo.
The members of the committee comprises former Home Minister RG Lygdoh, who recently rejoined the party, and Sunil Agarwal (Advocate) besides Wansuk Syiem as Member Secretary.
