Over 180 COVID patients are on oxygen support in Meghalaya
Over 180 patients, who have tested positive for COVID-19, are dependent on oxygen in the state.
“Around 200 COVID-19 patients have been admitted in the hospitals of which 180 are requiring oxygen,” Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong told reporters on Tuesday.
He informed that the availability of oxygen was also reviewed during the meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma to take stock of the COVID situation in the state.
Tynsong said there is no shortage of oxygen in the state as of now.
“However, we are trying to effectively implement the containment measures to prevent the increase of the COVID-19 positive cases in the state,” he stated.
