Over 20 students test positive for COVID-19 at Tura

Over 20 students have tested positive for COVID-19 in a school at Tura in West Garo Hills district.

According to sources, the new cases were detected at Tura Don Bosco Higher Secondary School on Monday.

All of them are hostellers and are primary contacts of a boy who was tested positive for COVID-19 after he went for screening for blood donation on Saturday last, they said.

However, all of them are asymptomatic.

Meanwhile, sources informed that the district administration has declared the campus as a containment zone to prevent further spread of the viral disease.
