Over 300 youths participated in 5th ABVP State Conference
Over 300 youths participated in the 5th State Conference of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Meghalaya State on Saturday at Aurobindo Auditorium, Shillong.
Important dignitaries from various spheres of life like Intellectual, Educationist, Entrepreneurs etc were part of this State Conference.
Speaking on the ocassion the National General Secretary of ABVP, Nidhi Tripathi encouraged the Students and the youth to take active part in the development of our Country. She highlighted the importance of education and its role for the development of self and the Nation.
State Secretary of ABVP, Meghalaya, Nibiang Sumer presented the Secretary report about the various activities that is being performed by ABVP, Meghalaya over the last one year.
When the world were facing the difficult situation during Covid-19 the karyakartas of ABVP came out of their comfort zone to serve the people of the State. Various services were rendered by ABVP Meghalaya like providing essential items to the needy families and stranded Students in Meghalaya from rest of the part of the country.
Conducting a programme called Parishad Ki Pathshala for providing free tutorials to the less privileged students who could not go for school due to Covid -19 and many more.
For encouraging the motivating the youth of our State for competitive examination, ABVP Meghalaya conducted General Knowledge Test for the Student from Class 9 to class 12.
To celebrate the 75th Independence day in a befitting way ABVP, Meghalaya conducted Tiranga Yatra rally in various districts of Meghalaya where the people from the locality took active part and were very enthusiastic to held it every year, this way ABVP inculcate Patriotism among the citizens of the State.
The 5th State Conference of ABVP Meghalaya elected Dr Sashankutlang Khongthohrem as the State President and re- elected Nibiang Sumer as State Secretary with the declaration of New State Working Committee members.
