Pamra Paithlu PHC celebrates World Population Day

The Office of the District Medical & Health Officer in East Jaintia Hills District observed World Population Day 2024 with the theme “Healthy Timing & Spacing of Pregnancies for the Well-being of Mother and Child.”

The event took place at Pamra Paithlu Primary Health Centre (PHC) and was attended by Dr. NP Suchiang, District Immunization Officer In-charge, East Jaintia Hills District) and Dr. R Suchiang, Medical & Health Officer, Pamra Paithlu PHC, other health care officials, ASHAs and people of the area.

Health care experts emphasized the significance of family planning to promote the health and well-being of both mothers and children.
